The last meeting of the leaders of Roscosmos and NASA took place in October 2018, when Dmitry Rogozin, who then held the post of general director of the Russian agency, personally met with NASA administrator Jim Baydenstein at the Baikonur cosmodrome, the agency notes.
Bakanov has already acquainted NASA technologies at the Johnson space center on the first day of the working visit to the United States, TASS propaganda agency reports.
According to TASS, the head of the Roscosmos will also visit the Boeing production unit, and also meet with the crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which, according to the cross -flight program, includes the Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov. Before completing the visit, the Russian delegation will visit the assembly buildings of spacecraft and SPACEX ships.
On the GUR website in the section on sanctions, it is reported that Roscosmos is in the list of companies to which restrictions have not yet been applied.
At the same time, Roscosmos has its own Uranus battalion, into which the company recruited fighters for the war in Ukraine, the FINANCIAL Times wrote in 2023. As noted in the article, the battalion emphasized “his devotion to the Ministry of Defense in all its materials”, and on the advertising banners of “Uranus” there was a Login of Roscosmos. The recruits promised an introductory bonus of $ 1200 and a monthly salary of about $ 3000.
Bakanov, who headed Roscosmos in February of this year, two months later told RTVI that over 100 RJVGFYBB employees had died or disappeared in the war in Ukraine, another 340 were injured.
