
If you have minced meat and pasta, you can use them to prepare a restaurant-style dinner without any hassle. The author of the Ukrainian culinary YouTube channel “Smachno ta garneau vdoma” shared the recipe for such a dish – she told how to make stuffed macaroni and cheese.
“Juicy filling, lots of sauce and a delicious cheese crust – a dish that will be asked to be cooked again and again. Pasta with minced meat turns out very tasty. You will definitely like this casserole. Ideal for a family dinner or when you want to surprise guests without complex ingredients,” she announced the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 700 g minced meat (chicken and pork);
- one onion;
- 100 ml ice water;
- 1 tbsp. l. tomato paste;
- 150 g mozzarella cheese (for filling);
- 250 ml cream (10% fat);
- 250 ml water (for filling);
- 50 g hard cheese;
- 1 tsp. seasonings for minced meat;
- salt, dried garlic, a mixture of peppers and herbs;
- one package of pasta for stuffing.
Preparation
- Add chopped onion to the minced meat. Salt and add spices. Pour in ice water and mix everything thoroughly until smooth. For richer color and flavor, add tomato paste. Leave the filling for a while so that all the flavors come together.
- Cut the cheese into small rectangles.
- Boil the pasta until half-baked and let it cool slightly.
- Fill the pasta with prepared minced meat and cheese separately.
- Place the stuffed pasta tightly into the baking dish, alternating between each other.
- Mix cream with water. Pour the mixture over the pasta pan.
- Cover the pan with foil and place in a preheated oven. Bake at 180°C.
- After some time, remove the foil, sprinkle the dish with grated cheese and return to the oven for another 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
