The Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra will take part in the Chinese music festival “Harbin Summer”. This was reported in the press service of the city administration.
The famous Krasnoyarsk team will perform on August 6 together with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra in the Great Hall of the Philharmonic, which contains more than a thousand spectators. On August 9, musicians will give a concert in one of the most beautiful places – the Volga Picture Gallery, on August 11 – in the small concert hall of the Bolshoi Theater Harbin.
In solo concerts, the municipal team will present the programs of Russian classics. The orchestra will perform the compositions of Peter Tchaikovsky in honor of his 185th anniversary, as well as the works of Dmitry Shostakovich, including dedicated to the topic of the Great Patriotic War. Musicians are actively preparing for tour, rehearsals are held daily.
“We are in anticipation of this trip. I really hope that this will be wonderful concerts that will be remembered by the Chinese public and remain in our hearts, ”said Leonid Zhukovsky, a honored worker of culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the conductor of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra.
The Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra has been sent to the PRC for the third time. For the first time, the creative team introduced the Celestial audience to his works in 2015. After this trip, the orchestra managed to expand the geography of the participants of the famous international festival of chamber-organized music, which is held annually in Krasnoyarsk. The Harbin Symphony Orchestra joined the international event, and after them other outstanding musicians of Asian countries – from Japan, South Korea, India and Kazakhstan.
“Our trip will be a return visit to Harbin. We have many years of friendship with China. We are very glad that we have such friends, and they are waiting for us. I want to note that the Chinese public loves Russia and Russian music very much, they are happy to sing our songs – Katyusha, Kalinka, ”said Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, conductor, artist of the orchestra, Mikhail Benyumov.
Recall that last year in Krasnoyarsk the Harbinsky Symphony Orchestra, along with the Krasnoyarsk musicians, gave a free concert in the mountains on the open stage of the Fan Park “Beaver Log”. The visit of the Harbin orchestra to Krasnoyarsk took place under the sign of international cooperation between countries.
