Lithuania will introduce a Ukrainian drone detection system. Vilnius is fed up with Putin's provocation


On Monday morning, July 28, a drone of an unknown type flew into the airspace of Lithuania, probably from Belarusian territory. Earlier, on July 10, Lithuanian airspace violated an unknown drone (also from Belarus). Vilnius decided to definitely respond to these threats.

According to Vaitkunas, the Ukrainian system will be tested by the end of this year, and in 2026 it will be implemented.
“Already this year there was a beginning [wdrożenia systemu] – funds for the purchase were allocated. By the end of the year, it will be tested, tried and, as the Air Force commander pointed out, next year there will be intensive implementation of these solutions, “said Vaitkunas in an interview with LRT.
The commander -in -chief of the Lithuanian army explained that the procedures related to the system have been prolonged because “this is a Ukrainian solution that had to be adapted.”
