Residents of the village in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the first time gained access to the high -speed Internet Rostelecom

For the first time in the north of the Yenisei district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, access to high -speed Internet appeared – more than 100 families have already switched from satellite communications to optical. To do this, Rostelecom laid the telecommunication lines from the village of Antsiferovo to the village of Novonazimovo.

“Novonazimovo is the first settlement where broadband Internet and online services have become available to every resident. In the future, with the expansion of the infrastructure, it will be possible to connect them in Nazimovo, Sergeyevo, Nizhnezhadrino, Fomke, Yartsevo, Krivlyak and Nikulino, ”said Alexei Usatov, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.

The advantage of the optical channel is that information is transmitted over long distances without interruptions and quality loss. While satellite Internet is sensitive to weather conditions and its performance may change.

“We have a quick Internet, Wink and even video surveillance,” shared Oksana Yurkova, a resident of the village of Novonazimovo, Krasnoyarsk Territory. – Now in good quality we watch films, TV shows, concerts: each family member chooses what he likes. When, at the departure, through the application in the smartphone we look after the yard, the camera takes off the clock. It is very convenient. Previously, they could not even dream of such opportunities. ”

The construction of an optical network in small, inaccessible villages in the north became possible thanks to the joint efforts of Rostelecom and the regional Ministry of Digital Development.

“Digitalization of the northern territories of the region plays a key role in improving the quality of life of the villagers. The fiber-optical network opens access to educational platforms, simplifies work processes and ensures the receipt of medical and state electronic services. The deployment of the infrastructure is carried out as part of the national project “Economics of Data”, ”said Nikolai Raspin, Minister of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
