Video Radio ZU concert in Timisoara, interrupted by a violent storm. Part of the scene collapsed and more people arrived at the hospital

The concert organized by Radio ZU at the “Traian Vuia” Airport in Timișoara was affected by a strong storm that hit Timiș County, and ten people were injured, of which five were transported to the hospital, according to News.ro. The event was temporarily interrupted.

Part of the scene was damaged, and the organizers announced that the festival is temporarily interrupted. They said that the public is safe and that they are currently verifying the state of the scenotechnical equipment.

Extreme weather phenomena in Timiș

A strong storm caused several damages on Saturday night in Timiș County, especially in Timișoara, where firefighters intervened to release over ten fallen trees, electricity and construction elements.

According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Timiș, the firefighters intervened in Timisoara for the release of ten fallen trees – four over cars, one over a house – but also of construction elements and an advertising panel. Similar interventions took place in Buziaș, where two trees fell (one on a home), as well as in Pișchia.

Also in Timișoara and Buziaș intervened to remove some currents fallen on the road.

“As a result of the warned meteorological phenomena, 10 victims have resulted from the participants in Forza ZU, as follows: 5 victims (3 men and 2 women) transported to the hospital, stable, with excoriations at the upper limbs and head, a woman with dislocation); 4 victims with panic attack; 1 man with dislocation to the hospital”
