QR codes at the beach entrances. Sopot extends a helping hand to tourists

In Sopot, new information boards with QR code and graphic symbols have appeared at all entrances to the beach. They are to help sunbathers orientation and resting.

45 entrances lead from the border with Gdynia to Gdańsk to Sopot beaches. New boards with the entry number and additional information, including QR code, stood with each of them.

According to a spokesman for the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Sopot, Grzegorz Pawelec, after scanning the code with a smartphone, said in a press release, after scanning the code with a smartphone, the user will be automatically redirected to the website with the map. There is information about available attractions and infrastructure in the immediate area. You can check, among others, whether a given section of the beach is guarded, where there are toilets, gastronomic points, fields or playgrounds.

In addition, there is also a graphic symbol with each entry issue, e.g. a hat, a crab, a sea horse, a ship. This is to facilitate orientation, especially families with children.

If the child remembers the symbol at the entrance, it will easier find the way back, even when they moved away. This is an additional element that increases the safety of the youngest on the beach next to the hand bands available at rescuers. (PAP)
