George Simion has announced, through a Facebook post, that Dan Dungaciu is the new gold policy consulted. The university professor, Dungaciu was sent to court for abuse of DNA, and his name was conveyed to replace Călin Georgescu in the presidential race in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Who is Dan Dungaciu
Dan Dungaciu, university professor at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Assistance of the University of Bucharest, was sent to court by DNA, in 2024, for abuse in service, according to the court portal.
He was director, for 12 years, of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations “Ion Ic Brătianu” of the Romanian Academy.
Dungaciu is accused of committing the crime of abuse in service, the facts taking place between 2017 and 2022, during the period when he was director of the Institute.
The Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations (ISPRI) was a civil part in the file.
According to prosecutors, in 2017, as director of the Institute, Dungaciu would have signed a lending contract and, subsequently, two additional acts, with the Association “The Laboratory for the Information War and Strategic Communication (LARICS)”, as a comforter.
Through these contracts they were given for use to Larics, free of charge and without organizing public auctions, two spaces located in the headquarters. The contract stretched for 5 years, the amount of the rent unpaid by Larics being 101,607 lei.
Presshub.ro wrote in December 2023 that Dungaciu had the capacity of suspect in the file, and DNA investigations began after a complaint of the Court of Accounts that had previously carried out a control at the Institute.
In 2022, Presshub reported that Dungaciu won two consecutive mandates at the head of the Institute, after competing alone, each time.
