The minister stressed that the main objective is to eliminate fraud from the social protection system.

“Our target, the target of all the controls, the target of all the changes, will be to detect the fraud in the system, those who illegally benefit from some benefit, with the illegal help of doctors who violate the rigors of the profession and the law and who use some funds that we need for others, those who have real problems and have many services”,, ” said Florin Manole, in an interview with the first news, according to News.ro.

Giving benefits will be transparent

Florin Manole explained that the ministry aims to transparent the procedure for granting certificates, so that the authorities can more easily observe any anomalies, such as the sudden occurrence of groups of people with disabilities in the same locality, with the same diagnosis and the same attending physician.

“First of all, it will be harder to get a serious or accentuated degree, for some diagnoses that doctors will consider to respond to medicines and as medical manage. Sure, there are situations and are people with disabilities who have a diagnosis that can never be changed because they can not respond to any treatment. Which, of course, requires attention of the public system, but perhaps of the public health system, not of the public disability system, not the personal assistant ”, said the minister.

Personalized assistance, not “in the pile”

The minister stressed that not all beneficiaries with disabilities have the same needs, and the system must provide adapted solutions.

“Some may need some services that would be more useful, more necessary, more difficult to find and more important than a person who, of course, can take care of them, help them, be useful, but not having the same utility. Because not all people with disabilities have the same diagnosis, so we cannot deliver the same solution.” he explained.

Controls and sanctions

Florin Manole also stated that extensive controls will be triggered, “In order to clean the fraud system and to punish those who benefit illegally, with medical documents that will prove, if they prove, as unjustified, and those doctors, in turn, have to bear some very serious consequences, because they violate all the rigors of the profession, beyond the criminal law”,, the minister warned.
