The Russian Ministry of Labor has developed a project of the calendar of holidays and weekends for 2026. The document has already been submitted for public discussion.
So, New Year holidays will last 12 days – From December 31, 2025 to January 11, 2026.
Besides, 5 times next year there will be a weekend for 3 days:
- In February – from 21 to 23rd;
- in March – from 7 to 9;
- twice in May – from 1 to 3 and from 9 to 11;
- And on the day of Russia in June – from 12 to 14.
In the fall Russians are waiting for one holiday weekend – November 4. And on The New Year holidays of 2027, the inhabitants of the country will leave on December 31.
The head of the Ministry of Labor of Russia Anton Kotykov recalled that the decision to transfer the weekend that falls on holidays is adopted by the government annually:
“The transfer is carried out in such a way as to optimally distribute the time of labor and rest, if possible to combine holidays and weekends.”
