Tannify at the highway or the road nowhere? Fuel prices on the road

Even several dozen pennies per liter – so much you can pay more (or less) depending on the location of the gas station. As the analysis of Panaparagon and Yanosik shows, the refueling place is still crucial for the wallet. Of course, we will pay the most at highways.

At highways, PB95 gasoline costs on average 6.49 PLN/l, diesel oil 6.43 PLN/l, and LPG 3.14 PLN/l. It is slightly cheaper at stations at express roads, where the prices of individual fuels are 6.14 PLN/l (PB95), 6.07 PLN/l (ON) and PLN 3.00/L (LPG), respectively. On the other hand, prices at stations located at national roads look best, here gasoline costs an average of 5.81 PLN/l, diesel oil 5.78 PLN/l, and LPG only 2.84 PLN/l. Differences of up to PLN 0.60–0.70 per liter They indicate that properly planned refueling on the road can translate into real savings. Especially for longer travels or refueling to a full tank.

Of course, each rule will be an exception, hence it is worth just following prices at the passing gas stations.

And how did fuel prices change since 2022? Comparing data with current results from June 2025, a clear drop in prices can be seen, especially in the case of diesel. In October 2022, he on the highway cost on average 7.88 PLN/l, while today it is PLN 6.43/l. The difference of PLN 1.45 per liter at full tank means saving reaching several dozen zlotys. PB95 gasoline also got cheaper, 50 groszy on highways and almost 90 groszy on national roads. LPG, although slightly less spectacularly, also records declines.

The conclusions are unambiguous: today they pay less than three years ago, but the relationship between the location of the station and the amount of the bill at the distributor still remains valid. That is why it is worth still refueling with your head, because although it is cheaper, it is not equally good everywhere.

– In June 2025, we observe the relative stabilization of fuel prices, especially compared to the large fluctuations we dealt with in 2021–2023. Although drivers still pay the most at highways, the overall price level is lower than a few years ago. This is the result of both a calmer situation on the raw materials market and a more predictable margin policy of station operators. At the same time, it is worth remembering that the differences between the locations are still significant and can realistically affect the home budget, especially on longer routes – explains Małgorzata Dąbrowska from the Yanosik application.
