Saved a policeman, won £1 million in the lottery and died under the wheels. Details of road accidents in Britain

In the UK, 39-year-old Anthony Canty, who won £1 million in the lottery, was killed in a road accident. The BBC reported this on June 6.

The man worked in the water industry but rose to fame in 2020 after first saving the life of a police officer by performing CPR on him on a bus and then winning £1 million in the EuroMillions lottery with his partner Katie Sullivan.

And on May 21, 2026, in the town of Tiptree (Essex), Kenty died in an accident – he was riding a bicycle when he was suddenly hit by a car.

The man was seriously injured and died in hospital four days later.

According to police, the 18-year-old driver of the Ford KA was initially detained in the case, but was subsequently released from custody. He is charged with dangerous driving, possible driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
