President Nicușor Dan was asked on Friday after the meeting of the European Council, which should be the highest salary in Romania and who should have it.

He replied in a joke: “Increasing, I lost the salary. Three weeks ago it was a discussion with the technical representatives who identified a list of about 200 bonuses obtained by some employees.

We are pressured by time and an analysis on 200 bonuses, maybe some justified, cannot be done in a few weeks and that will be taken some measures that are somehow coarse, as it is with the pre -university scholarships. From this perspective, this task will not be with the strap. Some will be more affected than others in the short term. ”

The president also stated that at the town hall he had a salary of 21,000 net lei. “Now I think I have 15,000-16,000 lei net (no as president)”added Nicușor Dan.
