Bondar lists investigations regarding electoral irregularities

The Minister of Justice, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar announced on Tuesday that the first 6 investigations of the District Prosecutor's Office were initiated on electoral irregularities: in Włocławek, Jelenia Góra, Opole, Bielsko-Biała, Kraków and Katowice.


“The first 6 investigations of the District Prosecutor's Office were initiated on electoral irregularities,” said Adam Bodnar on Tuesday.
The minister listed investigations in the following district prosecutor's offices:
- in Jelenia Góra on the District Electoral Commission No. 6 in Kamienna Góra,
- in Włocławek on the District Electoral Commission No. 4 in Brest Kujawski,
- in Opole regarding the District Electoral Commission No. 3 in Olesno and the District Electoral Commission No. 9 in Strzelce Opolskie,
- in Bielsko-Biała regarding two peripheral election committees in Bielsko-Biała,
- in Krakow on the regional Commission No. 95 in Krakow,
- in Katowice on one of the regional electoral commissions in Katowice.
As we read in the PO announcement in Włocławek, on Sunday a notification was received regarding “the exchange of cast and calculated votes for individual candidates” in the District Electoral Commission No. 4 in Brest Kujawski during the second round of presidential elections. Actions in this case are conducted by 1 Faculty of Investigatives, the District Prosecutor's Office.
On Tuesday, the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk informed that in the regional election committees in Gdańsk, Grudziądz and the wreath, a discrepancy was revealed between the content of the report of voting results in the presidential election on June 1 and the actual state resulting from the re -conversion of votes.
Calculation of votes at the District Electoral Commission No. 4 in Wieńiec, commune Brest Kujawski showed that Rafał Trzaskowski obtained 466 votes and Karol Nawrocki 331 votes. The inverted result was included in the report published on the website of the National Electoral Commission; Most of the votes were attributed to Karol Nawrocki.
“The Regional Prosecutor in Gdańsk decided to provide the submitted documents, according to the District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk, Toruń and Włocławek, in order to perform the necessary procedural activities and explain the reasons and reasons occurred in these cases of discrepancies between the actual election results and the results published on the State Electoral Commission website,” said the spokesman for the Gdańsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The PO message in Jelenia Góra shows that the investigation was initiated on irregularities occurring during the second round of presidential elections at the District Electoral Commission No. 6 in Kamienna Góra. “The basis for initiating this procedure was to obtain information that during the inspection of voting cards in the package containing votes cast for Karol Nawrocki there were important voices cast for Rafał Trzaskowski,” we read. Actions in this case are conducted by Department 1 of the District Prosecutor's Office.
In the regional electoral commission No. 6 – in accordance with the results presented by the State Electoral Commission, which is currently subject to verification – Karol Nawrocki obtained 368, and Rafał Trzaskowski 338 votes.
The PO in Opole announced in a statement that an investigation was initiated regarding admission to abuse when calculating votes in connection with the election of the President of the Republic of Poland at the District Electoral Commission No. 3 in Olesno and the District Electoral Commission No. 9 in Strzelce Opolskie.
“The purpose of the investigation will be to explain whether there was a crime described in these two points of Article 248 of the Penal Code, and if so, in what circumstances.
The Bielsko District Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of an investigation on Tuesday regarding irregularities that occurred during the second round of presidential elections in two regional election committees in Bielsko-Biała.
On June 12, in connection with the election protests brought in, the Supreme Court announced that electoral cards from 13 regional committees, including two from Bielsko-Biała, would be verified. This was due to the fact that in the election protests, irregularities were raised in preparing voting protocols and when counting votes.
Bielska spokesman Paweł Nikiel said that last Tuesday, authorized by the Prosecutor General's investigator from the Bielsko District Prosecutor's Office, took part in the meeting of the local District Court, whose “aim was to determine the number of valid votes for individual candidates for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland.”
During the meeting, voting cards were inspected from two regional electoral commissions in Bielsko-Biała: 30 and 61. The votes were converted twice.
“The court determined that in one of the regional electoral commissions there were votes cast for individual candidates (…), which resulted in the erroneous acceptance that most votes in that committee were obtained by the candidate Karol Nawrocki. In the second (…) it was revealed that 160 valid votes for candidate Rafał Trzaskowski were assigned (…) Nikrocki.
On Tuesday, Olivia Bożek-Michalec spokeswoman in Krakow said that an investigation was initiated on irregularities and abuses related to the preparation of protocols containing the results of voting at the District Electoral Commission No. 95 in Krakow.
As a consequence of these irregularities and abuse – the prosecutor told – votes cast for a candidate supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki were assigned to KO Rafał Trzaskowski candidate, and the votes cast for Trzaskowski – Nawrocki. According to the results posted on the PKW website at Commission No. 95 in Krakow, in the second round of presidential elections, Karol Nawrocki won 1132 votes, and Rafał Trzaskowski 540 votes.
According to the spokeswoman, the proceedings concern crimes related to, among others using deceit for incorrect preparation of electoral documents and abuse when calculating votes (Article 248 points 2 and 4 of the Penal Code). The procedure is in the initial phase.
In the PO announcement in Katowice we read that an investigation into irregularities in one of the regional election committees in Katowice was initiated in connection with the second round of presidential elections.
A spokesman for the Katowice prosecutor's office Alexander reported that the basis for initiating the proceedings were the results of voting cards, conducted by the Katowice-Zachód District Court, in the execution of the Supreme Court's appeal. The purpose of this activity, carried out at the meeting, was to determine the number of important votes cast for individual candidates in the second round of elections, which took place on June 1.
“As a result of the inspection, it was established that in one of the regional electoral commissions in Katowice, some of the invalid votes were included as a result of the election of both candidates, which in consequence led to a slight overstatement of the number of votes cast on them. Explanation requires the difference between the number of cards of the protocols issued by the regional commission (1880), and the number of cards at its disposal, determined by the court (1895) ” – described prosecutor Duda.
The media reported in recent days about cases when representatives of the peripheral committees themselves submitted a post factum mistakes consisting in the opposite assignment of votes to candidates – votes cast for Rafał Trzaskowski were assigned to Karol Nawrocki.
On Saturday, PG spokeswoman Anna Adamiak announced that in 7 out of 10 regional committees there were votes cast for candidates. She explained that the prosecutor had read the Supreme Court with the reports of recalculating voting cards from 10 peripheral electoral commissions (Kraków, Tarnów, Katowice, Strzelce Opolskie, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Olesno, Grudziądz, Kamienna Góra, Wieniec-Bobychiu Kujawski, Gdańsk); In 7 of them there were votes, which resulted in the erroneous acceptance that Karol Nawrocki obtained a larger number of votes in these circuits.
By Monday, over 10,000 were registered in the Supreme Court. protests against the election of the President of the Republic of Poland with about 50,000 Protests that were received by the Supreme Court from various parts of the country. (PAP)
