No more artificial extension of controls
The new regulations provide that the mere initiation of a tax audit will no longer automatically stop the limitation period. This solution had been proposed for years by entrepreneurs, who pointed out that the state was abusing this possibility to maintain legal uncertainty.
As a result offices are now supposed to focus on real abuses, not procedural tricks.
Greater transparency of state finances as a milestone of the KPO
The government also adopted an amendment to the Public Finance Act, which is intended to increase the transparency and effectiveness of spending public funds. The changes implement Poland's obligations towards the European Commission under the National Reconstruction Plan.
The new regulations will also give the administration greater flexibility – voivodes will more easily allocate funds to tasks entrusted to local governmentsand local governments themselves will be able, without the consent of the Minister of Finance, to modify investment expenditure up to PLN 500,000. zloty.

A tougher fight against international corruption
The package also includes amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure, which strengthens the prosecution of international corruption.
Cases involving bribes given or accepted by officials acting on behalf of foreign countries or international organizations will go to district courts, where they will be heard by more experienced judges. These changes correspond to OECD recommendations and are intended to strengthen Poland's credibility in international trade.
