When your favorite white curtains suddenly become gray, they look like an old rag, although you wash them constantly – it is sad and nervous. The usual washing in the typewriter, with a bleach and the most expensive powder, does not help. It seems easier to buy new ones than to return freshness and whiteness to the old one. But everything is not so sad: one folk trick solves the problem in half an hour – it was checked by dozens of housewives. The method was shared by Marina Zhukova, a blogger, an expert in cleanliness and a housewife with experience, author of TG channel (16+).
What to do:
- Before washing, soak the curtains in warm water with ordinary soda and citric acid. If there are no acids at hand, take a few lemon cutters.
- Leave for 1 hour – the gray plaque goes without effort, the fabric does not deteriorate, there is no smell of “chemistry”.
- After that, you can wash it as usual, on the hands or in a typewriter, the result is surprising: the curtain becomes boiling, fresh, as if it is new, just from the store.
