A company has analyzed a billion employment ads from all over the world and has reached some conclusions. One of them shows new risks to women

Artificial intelligence supports employees to become more productive, more valuable, and better paid, and the number of jobwrites Agerpres.
The report is based on the analysis of almost one billion employment announcements on six continents, the consulting company says, in a statement.
Since the appearance of GENAI in 2022, the increase of productivity almost quadruped into the most exposed industries in AI, for example, financial services, software production, increasing from 7% in the period 2018-2022 to 27% in 2018-2024. In contrast, the rate of increase in productivity in industries the least exposed to AI, for example, mining, hospitality, decreased from 10% to 9% in the same period. The data from 2024 show that the most exposed industries of you are now registering a three times higher income per employee compared to the least exposed.
'The impact AI is already visible in productivity, income and dynamics of the labor market. AI agencies and new emerging applications make operations more efficient and open opportunities to rethink how organizations innovate and achieve sustainable results. You have no longer a simple technological option, but it must be considered part of the growth strategy. Thus, the companies that adopt you quickly and prepare their employees to work effectively with these technologies will have an obvious competitive advantage, “said Gabriel Voicilă, Technology partner, PWC Romania, quoted in the statement.
The number of jobs increases in almost all types of exposed occupations AI, even in the extremely automated ones.
Contrary to expectations, the data in the report does not show a decrease in jobs or salaries caused by AI.
'We notice that the demand for exhibited jobs is increasing and generates a rapid transformation of the skills required by employers. The conclusions of our report show that the human potential remains essential in AI. With the right support, employees can take more complex and valuable roles, but the real challenge will be their ability to keep up with technology, a race in which continuous learning is necessary, “said Gabriel Voicilă.
Increases the number of jobs and in the more exposed occupations to AI
Although the occupations with reduced exposure to AI registered a strong advance of the number of jobs (65%) in the period 2019-2024, the growth remained solid and in the more exposed occupations (38%). Within them, the jobs can be divided into 'automated' (respectively those that contain tasks that can be performed by AI) and 'assisted' (in which you support the employee to do their job better). In both categories, between 2019-2024, the number of jobs increased in each analyzed industry, although assisted jobs generally increase.
Jobs that require skills in AI also offer a salary plus (compared to similar roles that do not require such skills) in each analyzed industry, which can reach 56%, increasing from 25% last year. These jobs continue to grow faster than the average of all jobs, by 7.5% compared to last year, even in the context in which the total number of employment ads decreased by 11.3%.
According to PWC, although the image of productivity, wages and jobs is generally positive, research highlights the need for employees and companies to adapt to a much faster rate. The competences sought by employers change 66% faster in the most exposed occupations, increasing compared to 25% last year.
The request of employers for university diplomas is declining in all occupations, but more accelerated in the exposed AI. The percentage of jobs assisted by AI that requires a diploma decreased by 7 percentage points between 2019 and 2024 (from 66% to 59%), and for automated jobs, with 9 percentage points (from 53% to 44%).
More women than men play exposed roles of you
'The findings show that the impact you have on women and men can be unequal. In each analyzed country, more women than men play exposed roles, which suggests greater pressure on women to adapt their skills', the consultancy company statement said.
Under these conditions, consultants have some recommendations for business to accelerate their growth and use the opportunity offered by AI. Thus, companies should use AI for transforming the whole organization, treating AI as a growth strategy, not just efficiency, prioritizing AI agencies, providing employees skills needed to capitalize on power and unlock the transformer potential by building trust.
PWC 2025 AI Jobs Barometer analyzed almost one billion job ads and thousands of global financial reports to reveal the impact on jobs, salaries, skills and productivity. The barometer provides recent data on the exposure of jobs to AI, classifying them according to how automated or assisted.
PWC is a technology -oriented network, with more than 370,000 people in 149 countries, which offer audit and insurance services, taxes and legal services, transactions and consultancy.
