The balance of the Air India aircraft collapse reached 290 dead: 50 were people in the neighborhood in which the aircraft fell

At least 290 people died after the Air India plane to London collapsed in a residential area, shortly after taking off on an airport in the city of Ahmedabad, according to the latest balance sheet, notes CNN.
Died people include flight passengers, except for a survivor, including minors, local residents and people in the “BJ Medical College and Hospital” home, when the plane crashed over it, a doctor from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital told CNN, where most of the deceased and injured persons were transported.

The doctor added that the number of the dead is likely to increase.
Air India said that 242 people were on board the plane, of which 169 Indian citizens and 53 British citizens. Also, in the aircraft were seven Portuguese citizens and a Canadian citizen, the airline added.
“It was a loud noise and then the plane crashed”
She confirmed that there was only one survivor among those on board, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, British citizen,
“At 30 seconds after take -off, it was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.”said the survivor, from the hospital bed, for Hindustan Times.
A senior police officer told reporters that the plane had hit a doctors home belonging to BJ Medical College and Hospital. At least three medical students died, said Swapnil Bhalodia from Indian Medical Association Medical Students Network.
Between 50 and 60 medical students were admitted to local hospitals, according to Federation of All India Medical Association. Some of the victims are in intensive care, notes CNN.
According to other sources, almost 50 people from the neighborhood in which the plane fell.
The aircraft did not respond to calls
The AI171 flight was heading to Gatwick Airport in London, where he was to land at the local time 18.25 (1.25 pm ET).
A video recording surprised the moment when the aircraft, gaining altitude after it had just taken off, suddenly started to descend before it collapsed.
The plane made a Mayday call to traffic control, shortly after take -off, according to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation in India (DGCA).
“But later, the aircraft did not respond to the calls made by ATC. The aircraft, immediately after taking off on track 23, fell on the ground outside the perimeter of the airport. A thick black smoke was seen coming out of the accident site. ” is shown in the statement.

According to the DCGA statement, the flight took off at the local time 1.39 PM (4.09 AM ET).
The aircraft signal was lost less than one minute after take -off, at an altitude of 625 feet, according to Flighttradar24 data.
“The plane then began to descend with a vertical speed of – 475 feet per minute”showed the data.
