“Our great farmers and people from the hotel and recreation industry say that our very aggressive immigration policy takes away their very good, long -term employees, and these jobs are almost impossible to replace them” – wrote Donald Trump on his social networking site Truth Social.
Trump said that the jobs of immigrants leaving the US are applying “criminals allowed to the country by a very stupid policy of Biden's open borders“.
“It's not good. We have to protect our farmers, but throw away criminals from the USA. Changes are coming!” – Trump announced.
Already in April during the meeting of the office he talked about similar problems of employers and announced their solution. He said then that farmers employing illegal immigrants would be able to apply for a work permit, although these employees would have to leave the US for some time. Despite these declarations, specific deeds have not yet followed.
Trump's declaration seems to be contrary to the intensification and the extension of detention and deportations of illegal immigrants – initially focused on the deportation of criminals – which in recent weeks began to include raids for jobs, restaurants or places where immigrants are gathering to report to work, e.g. at construction sites. Such raids in Los Angeles contributed to violent protests.
