The Ukrainian foreign policy noted that the teenager had a satisfactory state of health, they provided him with all the necessary conditions for his stay.
The investigating authorities establish the circumstances of the case and the possible motives of the crime committed by him, added to the Foreign Ministry.
“The embassy is in touch with the relatives of the dead and the detainee, as well as with the police, the prosecutor’s office, the leadership of the penitentiary institution and other Belgian bodies,” the department notes.
After the completion of the forensic medical examination, the repatriation of the bodies of the dead in Ukraine will contribute to the repatriation of the bodies.

On June 6, the VRT Haasrod public television channel (Belgium) said that the 46-year-old Ukrainian and her six-year-old daughter were killed. The bodies with stab wounds were found in the house where a woman who left Ukraine lived after the start of a full -scale invasion of Russia. According to law enforcement officers, the killer set fire to the house, the victims were discovered by rescuers who came to extinguish the fire.
VRT wrote that the 16-year-old son of the deceased mother at the time of the murder was at school, he was taken under guardianship. It was also reported that the woman’s husband is fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On June 7, VRT, citing the prosecutor's office, wrote that the son of a deceased woman admitted to the stab wounds to his mother and sister, and then in their arson.
On June 8, HLN wrote that the teenager during the interrogation said that he had committed a crime due to a household quarrel, but the prosecutor's office did not consider his motive convincing.
