“There was a large disturbance in the supply of electricity from the outer network. As a result of disruption, the PDH POLIERCE polymery project was emergency, and as a consequence also the installation producing polypropylene,” Monika Darnobyt, a spokeswoman for the Azoty Group, said the service.
The good news is that all security systems worked properly, and thus – Blackout did not directly cause material losses. The production will be able to resume between 12 and 15 June. For now, the Azoty Group has not transferred the estimated losses that it will suffer as a consequence of the energy stop.
According to unconfirmed information, disruptions were to be disrupted on the line supplying the plant for which distribution companies are responsible – emphasizes Energetyka24.
