In Birobidzhan, the Almanac “Birobidzhan” (0+) is published, in addition to literary work, the writers of Birobidzhan are actively participating in the socio-political life of the region.

Khabarovsk writer V. Azhaev spoke of the active participation of Birobidzhan Jewish writers in the activities of the regional writer's organization. The representative of the Commission on National Literature under the Union of Soviet Writers of the USSR emphasized the importance of the work of Birobidzhan Jewish writers.

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” on June 1, 1957 wrote on its pages that the first regional youth festival was opening in Birobidzhan.

At the festival (6+) of youth, groups from all areas of the region will perform. Among which: the amateur art team of the Birobidzhan sewing factory; The choir, the string and spiritual orchestra from the city of railway workers, the workers of the Teplozersky cement plant will perform with the Polish folk song, the Russian folk dance will be shown by the dance group of the Railway Club G. Oluchye, the dance of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks – the dance group of the Khinganolovo plant.
