The governor discussed the upcoming elections with the chairman of the Election Commission of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Governor Mikhail Kotyukov held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Election Commission of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Taras Yaskevich, at which they discussed the organization of a single voting day.

On September 20, 2026, elections of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation, deputies to the Legislative Assembly of the region of the fifth convocation and nine election campaigns at the municipal level will be held in the region.
Taras Yaskevich reported thatMore than two million voters will be able to take part in the elections in the region. There are now 2,040 polling stations in the region, another 24 are organized in places of temporary stay of voters (hospitals, railway station, airport, etc.). They plan to use air transport to prepare and conduct elections in remote and inaccessible northern territories.
“The Governor instructed to provide support in paperwork and procedures to candidates from among the Northern Military District veterans. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain the equality of candidates, the fairness of the struggle and the irrefutability of the results,” the government said.
Mikhail Kotyukov also pointed out the need for the active involvement of executive authorities and local self-government in preparations for elections: it is necessary to resolve issues of anti-terrorism and fire safety of polling stations, uninterrupted operation of utility systems, transport infrastructure, communications and energy supply, as well as provide territorial and precinct election commissions with everything necessary for a high organizational level of elections.
The governor noted that on a single voting day, residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will have to make important political decisions, and the Electoral Commission in its work needs to be guided by the key guidelines of President Vladimir Putin and the data of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
“At a meeting with the new composition of the Central Election Commission, the president said: we are not working to please external observers or to prove something to anyone. We are working to unite our country, strengthening citizens' trust in elections within Russia as a key institution of power. Your task is to maintain the high professionalism of the team of election organizers, ensure legitimacy and integrity, and make the voting process as convenient and accessible as possible for citizens,” Mikhail Kotyukov emphasized.
