Two Russian tourists died in the Philippines while diving. One was torn to pieces by sharks, the other drowned.
According to local police, the men went to Verde Island with two other Russians and a Filipino instructor. During a scuba dive, everyone was swept away by a strong undercurrent. Two and the instructor were able to swim out. Those who died could not cope with the elements – one was attacked by sharks, he was found with his arm torn off, the other choked. They were 29 and 39 years old.
