Radu Burnete, the executive director of the Concordia Employers Confederation, announced on Thursday night that he accepted the proposal of President Nicușor Dan to become his presidential adviser for economic and social issues. The appointment decree was published in the Official Gazette (MO) and will enter into force on July 1.

It is true that President Nicușor Dan proposed to me to be his presidential counselor for economic and social issues and after the short time I had to reflect. Dan and put my energy in the service of the public interest, ”Burnete wrote, in a message published on his Facebook page.

Until July 1, “I will have a short period of transition from Concordia to the Presidential Administration where Dragoș Anastasiu remains an honorary advisor until June 30. However, I have already started to support my president. At Concordia I am no longer involved in decisions or in the public communication of the organization, but it is a matter of my work. “I do not want to make other statements at this time than that I have a lot of confidence in the new president of Romania and I am convinced that I will be part of a transparent and open presidential administration with dialogue and consultation with the company. Radu Burnete, 40, graduated from political science at the University of Bucharest and worked as a journalist at Ziarul Financiar. Returning to the country, he does not have a position in a company, working at the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) and the Conference Concordia, where his mandate ended next month.
