Debate in Końskie. Digital giants can sleep peacefully at President Nawrocki

Four days before the second round of elections, Telewizja Republika organized a debate in Końskie, to which she invited Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski. As announced, only a candidate supported by PiS appeared on it.
After a series of questions from viewers and journalists, which we reported here, there were several questions from other candidates who competed in the first round of presidential elections. Contrary to the announcements, however, only three people occurred. The rest ignored the invitation of the republic.
Krzysztof Stanowski asked about the Polish media market. Do you have to regulate it? “In the ideal world, it should be free from party pressure. This is the most justified direction” – pointed out Karol Nawrocki.” He spoke about “foreign capital invasion“, which – in his opinion – is also a threat on the market.
Adrian Zandberg asked about the taxation of digital giants, thanks to which the state budget would gain billions. Karol Nawrocki declared that he would not raise taxes. He reminded that he promised it, among others in the signed declaration prepared by Sławomir Mentzen. He added, however, that “It is for foreign corporations to pay honestly taxes, especially CIT” – he pointed out.

Marek Jakubiak asked about TVP and media pluralism. Karol Nawrocki complained that TVP is in the hands of the government. He attacked Onet and other portals that allowed themselves critical texts at the candidate supported by PiS.
At the end of the debate, Karol Nawrocki called Rafał Trzaskowski “Tchórz”. He attacked the opponent and his “followers”. He said that he was fighting with the government of Donald Tusk, which suggests that after any wins elections you can expect a sharp struggle between the government and the president.
