Siemoniak with self -proclaimed patrols: Border Guard is waiting, we have free full -time jobs

The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak appealed on Monday to everyone who wants to defend Polish borders to join the Border Guard. He added that the ministry does not cooperate with self -proclaimed civic patrols, whose members are trying to “make a smoke on the border”.

At the press conference, Siemoniak was asked about the briefing of the head of the government with the management of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Border Guard. The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration explained that the Monday meeting with the prime minister served to discuss the situation at all Poland's borders.
Siemoniak reminded that during the debate about the vote of confidence for the government, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that during the holidays on the Polish-German border, a control from the Polish side could be introduced.
He assured that the number of people allowed to Poland and subject to reading in 2025 is significantly lower than in 2023-2024.
“We are dealing with a situation in which the political instrumentalization of what was happening is being built, huge emotions are built. And where were these politicians two years ago, when these numbers were significantly greater, when the so -called doctrine of Czaputowicz was in force, i.e. we can cling to the eyes to who is entering Poland, because today we go to Germany (…) It created the entire trail through Poland, “he assessed.
The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration noted that thanks to sealing the Polish-Belarusian border, the situation in this area has improved a lot. At the same time, he admitted that a problem arose on the Polish-Lithuanian border. “All those who do not pass the Polish -Belarusian border head north and try to get that way” – he said.
He informed that he had participated in the meeting of internal ministers of Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, which took place in Tallinn. “We talked about the fact that we must have a common policy when it comes to the border and approach to illegal immigrants, because it is a system of connected vessels,” he said.
When asked about self -proclaimed civic patrols, Siemoniak appealed to everyone who wants to defend Polish borders to join the ranks of the Border Guard.
“The border guard is waiting, we have 1,500 new jobs. If someone meets the criteria will be absolutely welcome. However, those who want to make quarrels who offend policemen who are looking for the possibility of an incident (…) – we absolutely condemn it. In those cases where the law is violated, the relevant authorities will react, “he announced.
He added that the ministry in no way cooperates with civic patrols. “These people – it is difficult to call patrols – rather try to provoke Polish officers in uniforms or carry out operations attacking one of the border guard officers, so they do not support. They work to do a smoke on the border” – he assessed.
Kaczyński: ban on entering for people from the Middle East and Africa
We demand a ban on entering the territory of the Republic of Poland for people from the Middle East and North Africa, and to restore random inspections on the border with Germany – Jarosław Kaczyński, PiS president on PiS, wrote on Monday. He added that parliamentarians and PiS activists will go to the border.
“Germans regularly transfer illegal migrants to our side. The state abdicated, and chaos and impunity grow day by day. The officers do not have tools to act. They were left alone” – wrote Kaczyński on Platform X.
According to the PiS president, “the state of the plywood has failed once again, and these are ordinary people – citizens – are beginning to organize to defend the border.”
“And we will not leave them alone. MPs and Law and Justice activists will go to the border. We will support those who are fighting for the safety of our families,” Kaczyński declared.
“We demand immediate actions: a ban on entering into the territory of the Republic of Poland for people from the Middle East and North Africa, and restoring random controls on the border with Germany. Poland's security is not negotiable. Quite passivity. Time to act” – emphasized the PiS president.
Opposition MPs, incl. Dariusz Matecki (PiS) publish information about migrants staying in Poland, according to them, transported from Germany contrary to the procedures by the local border services. Mariusz Błaszczak (PiS) wrote on Sunday on the X portal: “The western border of Poland ceases to exist! From Germany, illegal migrants are regularly transferred to us, and the Tusk government pretends that nothing is happening.”
Confederation leaders speak in a similar tone. “We obtained information from the Border Guard that the Polish side does not verify in any way the identity and history of immigrants transmitted to us by Germany, and the concept of so -called border control by the German side is expanded to a non -legal definition of the border belt (…)” – said Deputy Sejm of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) on Thursday (PAP)
