The Ministry of Industry begins to consult a nuclear program and begins in June a dialogue with the market for the construction of the second planned nuclear power plant – said the government's representative for strategic energy infrastructure Wojciech Wrochna. He added that the PPEJ update project has already been sent to publication.


“We proceed to the consultation of the nuclear program, this is above all the second location and the memory of small nuclear reactors, because we will have a dedicated program, roadmapa for them” – told Wrochna journalists.
He clarified that work in the industry department on the PPEJ update project was completed and the project was referred for publication.
“We confirm the location of Bełchatów and Konin as potential locations for the construction of a second nuclear power plant and Kozienice and Połaniec as spare locations” – he added.
She informed that the Ministry of Industry is also starting in June a dialogue with the market and will talk to all interested in the construction of the second nuclear power plant in Poland, including with Americans, French, Canadians. The representative pointed out that Local Content will be important for Poland.
“We would like to have feedback (from the market) at the end of the year” – he noted. On March 13, the Ministry of Industry presented the assumptions for the update of the Polish Nuclear Energy Program (PPEJ), assuming, among others Two preferred locations for the 2nd nuclear power plant in Poland: Bełchatów and Konin and two reserve: Połaniec and Kozienice.
The start of the first block II EJ was planned for 2040, and the start of the entire power plant in 2043 (PAP Biznes)
