UDMR leader, about the hypothesis of a minority government: “extremely risky”

UDMR Senator Antal Lorant (UDMR) said on Monday, about the negotiations for the formation of the new executive, that a minority government would be “extremely risky”, and in such a scenario “categorically there must be the very well-defined conditions”, writes news.ro.
“If you do not want to have a majority government, then in the case of a minority government, there must be the very well -defined conditions, on each extent, what we implement, what we do not implement, as we support, to enter the Parliament with a minority government is extremely risky and practically an instability. UDMR Antal Lorant at First News, according to news.ro.
Antal Lorant said he has the hope that “this pro-European side will understand the weight of the moment” and a majority government can be formed.
“Let's see how these discussions will go and let's see the purpose of the government and the prime minister the government comes to Parliament. I hope that, however, on this pro-European side, we are politicians who understand the weight of the moment and I hope we can vote for a majority government,” he said.
The UDMR Palatorriper said that a prime minister's proposal is needed to negotiate a majority: “It is normal to come up with a prime minister's proposal, that the prime minister can start negotiations for the majority formation and to be able to make a government to come to Parliament. So, as steps, the president begins, but it is normal for the prime minister. The government and that government with the prime minister, to come to the Parliament and obtain the vote of the majority ”.
President Nicușor Dan said on Saturday that negotiations with the parties for the formation of the new government will start on Tuesday, saying he still wants Ilie Bolojan for the position of prime minister, but “there are four parties at the table, plus minorities” and will be a discussion.
Regarding the possibility that the PSD will go to the opposition, as it suffered, Nicușor Dan said that politicians have the responsibility to commit to solve the problems of the society, and not to desert.
A coalition consisting only of PNL, USR, UDMR and national minorities could mean a maximum of 179 parliamentarians, insufficient for a majority. With PSD, a solid majority of 301 parliamentarians would be ensured.
