The Romanian Paralympics want to hit the Olympics. Eduard Novák set the medal plan

The first unified cantonment of the Paralympic lots in Romania ended yesterday. The “Lia Manoliu” National Sports Complex in Bucharest hosted on the period 19-25 Parasport Camp 2025, the first unified cantonment in the history of the Romanian Paralympic sport-a strategic project of the National Paralympic Committee (CNP) that brought together nearly 50 elite athletes, from 8 paralimpic disciplines, together with coaches and special staff.

Organized under the sign of unity, inclusion and performance, Parasport Camp offered not only specialized training and recovery sessions, but also educational moments, public demonstrations and meetings that have strengthened the connections between athletes, coaches and community.
“Romania has the potential to qualify 60–80 athletes at the Paralympic Games and win up to 15 medals. This cantonment is a first step towards a real reform in the Romanian Paralympic Sport – a bridge between performance, team and future”, Said Carol Eduard Novák, CNP president, according to paralimpicromania.ro.
Every day, the athletes cantoned at the National Sports Complex “Lia Manoliu” held training sessions adapted to each discipline, having access to modern facilities and the support of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
The recovery activities, coaching and counseling sessions, but also the support of the partners, have contributed to a professional framework, rarely encountered so far in the Romanian Paralympic sport. Bobi Simion, who was for the first time in such a unified cantonment, said: “I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience”.
The National Paralympic Committee is the institution that coordinates the sporting activity of people with disabilities in Romania. Established in 2001, the CNP is a member of the International Paralympic Committee and affiliated with the most important international organizations in the field.
