Hospitals in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday about killing at least 18 people in Israeli attacks, including several waiting in line for food. 36 Palestinians were injured on that day, said the Associated Press agency.
The attack took place, among others In the vicinity of the GHF Foundation Center, the day after arriving at Gaza, the American special envoy Steve Witkoff and the US ambassador in Israel Mike Huckabee. Huckabee's ambassador reminded that the foundation supported by the US and Israel distributed 100 million meals within two months. “Hamas hates GHF because the Foundation enables food distribution (and does not allow) to rob it through Hamas,” said the diplomat.
Critics emphasize, however, that the food distributed by GHF must be cooked, for which water and fuel need (which is not easy in the gas zone of the Gaza, and the amount of assistance distributed is definitely insufficient.
Some of the people killed on Saturday were killed in raids in the central and southern Gaza Zone, including in camps for internal refugees.
The war in the Gaza Strip began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing about 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and kidnapped Gaza 251 more. According to the Ministry of Health, the Israeli campaign consumed over 60,000 victims. (PAP)
