Trzaskowski will lose the election? Tusk calls for mobilization as in 2023.

If the democratic side is not as mobilized as in October 2023, then the candidate Ko Rafał Trzaskowski will lose these elections; If it is – he will win – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on TVN24.

The prime minister was asked about the latest opinion opinion24, in which the question “to which the candidates are the closest to you?”, 47 percent. respondents chose Karol Nawrocki, supported by PiS, 45 percent – Rafał Trzaskowski, and 8 percent respondents chose the “I don't know” option.

The prime minister, referring to the survey, said that the upcoming second round of presidential elections is a real test for voters. “Regardless of how candidates will try, regardless of their features, regardless of the obligations they take at the end of the elections, this is a real test for voters (…) In fact, today it will depend to a lesser extent on the mobilization of the candidates themselves, and much more than the mobilization of us all” – said Tusk.

The Prime Minister noted that “we must regain the awareness that accompanied us in October 2023 that this rate is very high.” “If this page – let's call it + democratic + – if it is not as mobilized as in October, then Rafał Trzaskowski loses, if it is so mobilized – he will win” – he said.

At the same time, he noted that “this division of 50/50, this is not a division into worse and better, but to other political attitudes.”

Tusk about the work of the government: We managed to realize too much to waste it

On Thursday, Tusk was asked what to say before the second round of presidential elections to voters disappointed with the current action of his government.

“Let everyone open their eyes wide, let everyone honestly see what happened during the year and a half, who worked like an ox, to realize what he promised, who disturbed, how many things he could, and how Poland has changed in this most important issue. Poland is again a country of free citizens; during this year and a half, it was a long time, this is the most important thing.

“How much I managed to realize – not enough for me to enjoy, but too much to waste it. If it was faster, if it was easier to bring these demands and obligations if the authorities in Poland were consistent. (…) It is difficult to rule in a country where the president is focused only on harm, in every case – whether it is the nominations of ambassadors, women's rights, restoration of judicial independence, etc.” – replaced Tusk.

As he said, “we all have to pass this test.” “This is a matter of war and peace – what is being prepared at the Russian -Ukrainian border at the moment is how Putin is trying to deceive the whole West (…) Russia is determined that to lead the war, and more and more intensively” – added the prime minister (PAP)
