The action is organized by the Mipe-Normality Union, affiliated with the Federation publishing, as a form of protest against the lack of real dialogue with political decision makers.
The protest draws attention to the major risk of blocking the projects in implementation and loss of European funds, in the context in which the taking of the activities of the fair transition (PTJ) by the Sustainable Development Program (PDD), without specialized personnel, is considered a real threat to the absorption of funds.
“We draw attention to the fact that, in the current economic and political context, attracting European funds should be a priority for political decision -makers! The dialogue with dedicated professionals, who have made remarkable efforts despite the controversial decisions taken by politically appointed chiefs, represents the only viable solution to solving the problems and maintaining a level of the European funds. The national economy ”, it is specified in the union statement.
At the same time, trade unionists point out that the human resource within the PDD is already underdimed, which is confirmed by the system audit report no. 200275/13.02.2025 issued by the Court of Accounts of Romania.
The claims of MIPE employees
– The employees request a meeting of social dialogue with the representatives of the Government and the new president of Romania, regarding the adoption of the norms and the implementation of the Government Decision 52/2018.
– identification of common solutions for implementing GEO 21/2025, article XI, respectively GD 52/2018, so that it does not endanger the absorption of European funds through the fair transition program.
– carrying out an impact study and analyzing the harmful effects generated by the implementation of GD 52/2018. The modification of a functional program, such as the fair transition program, which contributes to the absorption of European funds, can lead Romania to a much deeper economic crisis than it is today.
The MiPerity-Normality Union stresses that European funds must remain a national priority.
