Kyiv Post: What is your reaction to the latest reports on the flight of the President of the European Commission?
Minister Radosław Sikorski: I have not yet received full technical information about what actually happened. So I would like to know if it was a general disturbance of the GPS signal in this area, or cyber attack to the airport and its ability to direct planes – because these are two different things.
Hybrid war is not only hindering life on the internet – all that is below the kinetic war threshold, including disturbing GPS signal, but also arson, murder, espionage, disinformation.
We have taken decisive actions in response to Russian arson in Poland. I have already closed two of the three Russian consulates in Poland and we have limited the movements of Russian diplomats only to the area around the capital to make it difficult for spies among Russian diplomatic staff to conduct actions harmful to Poles and Europeans.

Do you encourage other European countries to take similar actions?
This is the common position of our security services. I think about 40 percent Russian diplomats conduct activities incompatible with their status and we should make it difficult for them.
The chairman of the European Council recently talked about the potential arrangement of troops in Ukraine after the war, which caused a discussion among members. What is the position of Poland in this matter?
Poland is a leader in help for Ukraine. We gave Ukraine more tanks than the rest of Europe combined. We gave them MiG-29 aircraft and we will pass even more. 95 percent Help for Ukraine goes through Poland.
We need to secure these supply lines, these airlines against interference – not only from Russia, but also Belarus. And in this Poland sees its added value.

Well, it's absurd. It was Russia who invaded Ukraine and Russia rejects the proposal of President Trump, to which Ukraine agreed, namely the suspension of weapons in order to allow negotiations.
At the moment Russia is attacking Kiev during the day, which is something new. Does Putin manipulate President Trump to gain more time?

In Alaska, they talked about a three -way or double -sided meeting, and instead of suspension of weapons and meetings we have the greatest attacks on Ukrainian cities since the beginning of the war. I am surprised that President Trump has patience with this man.
As you know, there is a common opinion in Washington that the current US administration uses the “inverted kissinger” strategy to discourage Russia from the alliance with other powers. Does this strategy work?
I think that photos from the last 48 hours from the meeting of the Shanghai Safety Organization in the Chinese People's Republic unfortunately undermine this thesis. Let us also remember that Kissinger's actions – and Nixon in China – preceded the years of patient diplomacy, some of which, believe or not, was conducted in communist Poland.

Let's talk about Poland's position on Ukraine. While we are conducting this interview in Miami, President Nawrocki is preparing for a Wednesday visit to Donald Trump in Washington. The Lord will not participate in this journey. Daniel Fried, a former US ambassador to Poland, said, however, that despite the parallel visits of Polish delegations in the US, he believes that when it comes to Ukraine, your messages are consistent. Is his assessment accurate?
In terms of defense, the need to oppose Putin and help Ukraine in this war – yes, we have a national consensus.
What do you expect from the United States in the defense of transatlantic security, Ukraine and more?
I hope that the United States will end with an overview of their army's attitudes with a decision to maintain military presence in Europe, in particular in places where there is a threat, i.e. on the eastern Flanka NATO. I also hope that the United States will impose stricter sanctions on Russia and allow Ukraine to attack Russian military goals.
The campaign in the Black Sea was successful, and the attacks aimed at Russian oil refineries, which of course enable actions in Ukraine of the Putin army, were quite effective. We should strengthen this success.
Is this a message that both the Lord and your president – which tomorrow (Wednesday, September 3) will be in the White House – try to pass on to the United States?
Yes, exactly.
How would you characterize the last veto of President Nawrocki, especially regarding help for Ukrainian refugees?
Our new president is a supporter of the magician movement. However, in Poland, the majority are in favor of paying children's benefits, those refugees, not only Ukrainian who actually work. This is the attitude.
