In this way, Trump answered the question of whether he was going to call Vladimir Putin to discuss the matter of war in Ukraine. He replied that it could be so, but suggested that it was necessary to meet face to face.

“We have to meet. He and I have to meet and I think we will solve it – and maybe not, but at least we will know it. And if we do not solve it, it will be very interesting,” said Trump during a short briefing on board Air Force One in Abu ABU in Abu after the end of his visit to the Middle East.

Trump also negotiated on the limitation of the Iran nuclear program. He said that the US made an Iran formal proposal in this matter. He added that Tehran knows that “he must act very quickly, otherwise something bad will happen.”

Together with the leaders of France, Germany and Great Britain and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski, we talked with US President Donald Trump about negotiations in Istanbul; Russia does not show good will and sets unacceptable conditions – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk after a meeting in Tirana.

The head of the Polish government, in the margins of the summit of the European political community, met in the capital of Albania with the President of Ukraine, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer and President of France Emmanuel Macron. Like last week, during a visit to Kiev, five leaders joined by phone with US President Donald Trump.

As reported in the recording published on the portal X Prime Minister Tusk, the goal of the conversation was “summarize attempts at negotiations that began in Istanbul” on Friday between representatives of Russia and Ukraine.

“The information was unambiguous – the Russian side did not show good will; the Russian side did not intend to negotiate in the presence of the American side, and the Russian side again set the conditions absolutely unacceptable – not only through Ukraine, but also through us all,” said Tusk.

The prime minister assured that leaders would continue to work on solving this issue. “Main task – to maintain unity, both European and American partners around the Ukrainian case – this task still remains current. We do not hide that the position of the Russian side is difficult to call in any way constructive. We are probably still still very difficult days,” said Tusk.

When asked about Israel's fears and opposition, the US President replied that he did not consult this case with Tel Aviv, and abolished sanctions because, otherwise this country would not have a chance for success. He also praised the new President of Syria, former jihadist Ahmad Ash-Szara as a strong leader with high energy. When asked about the Israeli plans for the next offensive in the Gaza Trump zone, he did not take a clear position, but he noted that it is necessary to help starving Palestinians.

The American leader also defended his decision to accept African immigrants from South Africa as refugees, repeating their assessment that they are subjected to genocide and the South African authorities are “out of control”.

“We want to save lives and we intend to do it, so we have created a home for them and we will create a house for other people who are treated badly, regardless of their skin color,” he said.
