The most important choices in the history of Romania. George Simion may become president

For Romania, a country aspiring to meritocracy and bored with false leaders, Nicusor Dan is the right man. However, there is another Romania. A country where lies, nepotism and forever incompetent politiciansa country whose villages and towns were abandoned a long time ago by residents working in the West. The model for imitation for Romania, without hope, is George Simion, a pseudo -team who found supporters, fighting the system.
While Dan promises Romanians stability and honesty, Simion announces the economic pogrom of state officials – he wants to slow down 500 thousand. people – and aberrations like “houses for 35,000 euros” and “zero interest on bank loans”. The first is against Russian policy, the second is not interested in the fate of Ukraine. Dan is a supporter of NATO and the EU. Simion announces that the times when Romanians kneeling in Brussels are over. He insidiously expresses his admiration for Viktor Orban, hoping that in this way he will acquire voters of Hungarian origin.
Orban is an interesting political figure for us. We know that in his country he can keep everyone under control. That he and his foreign minister are isolated in the EU. However, many Romanians perceive it all as A manifestation of courage, political pride and patriotism. What's more, taking active part in our accession to the Schengen zone, Viktor Orban silenced many of his critics in Romania.
Romanians are tired of status quo
People in Romania They are fed up with traditional parties – They were all in power since 1989 and they all disappointed. It is no accident that George Simion was a great success even in the diaspora, which consists mainly of Romanians who lost all hope in the country and went abroad to work. They are also those who left their children at home with their grandparents, and are also the largest “investors” – they send home EUR 7 billion (about PLN 30 billion) a year.
Every time these people return home, they witness the destruction of their hometown, where nothing happens, and only local barons and their people are thriving. That is why politicians are punished. Just as the former prime minister Marcel Ciolac was punished after last autumn said that the members of the diaspora “left because they had no job.” Result? Ciolac did not qualify for the second round of elections in December 2024.
Frustration only increased when, at the end of last year, the Constitutional Tribunal annulled the results of the first round of presidential elections. The favorite of the December elections, Calin Georgescu, was banned from starting in the May elections. This wave of sympathy was used by George Simion.

He says Everything the poor Romanians want to hear. A nationalist and sovereignist, who, however, no longer mixes all this with anti -heavy speeches. This is one fearless, which does not agree, for example, to rearrange Romania. Instead, he would spend money on school. He also announces that if he wins, he nationalizes large corporations operating the country's natural resources.
Simion is not an excellent speaker, but it is still much better than his opponent Nicusor Dan. And there is one more difference: unlike the mayor of the capital, Simions traveled all over the country!
A dream of another Romania
When I was young, Romania, which I dreamed of for myself and for future generations, for my grandchildren, she was A beautiful place to live without frustration due to discrimination, poverty and helplessness. Where there was no glaring social inequalities, where there was no suffering from violence, unemployment or hunger, which today affects a quarter of our children.
I am tired of listening that nothing can be done in my country because the “system” is everywhere. That obvious failures are presented as great successes. It is unacceptable that In the second half of my life, I still have to vote for less evil.

For 35 years, parties choking with fraud and nepotism created an atmosphere of uncertainty in Romania. They destroyed the trust of the Romanians in their institutionthey have created false prophets, and the result is now visible everywhere: a country without self -respect, with ubiquitous aggression and a gloomy future.
This is not a country I want. And yet I believe that the country of my dreams will be realized one day. Sunday, May 18 is a decisive step in this direction. It may fail, but I will not give up my dream.
