For Călin Georgescu is the second public appearance this week. On Wednesday night, in an interview for the thought, the former presidential candidate said that he has avoided such appearances so far because he preferred to “listen to the voice of the Romanian people.”
On that occasion, Călin Georgescu has mentioned several times George Simion with the name “my younger protected” and then “partner”, while in Nicușor Dan was referred using the term “boy”. Although he did not say it explicitly, Georgescu understood that he wants to be prime minister if the presidential elections will be won by the gold leader.
George Simion, who enrolled in the presidential race after the CCR's decision to reject Călin Georgescu's candidacy, comes after a few days to meet with the communities of Romanians and officials from several countries.
On Tuesday night he was also in Zabrze, where he held a speech in support of nationalist historian Karol Nawrocki, the candidate supported by the Law and Justice Party in the Polish presidential elections. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, whose party supports the mayor of Warsaw, criticized “Nawrocki and his Romanian pro-Rus counterpart.”
On Wednesday night, George Simion also met with the Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, while Nicușor Dan accused him of still running away from the debates organized by the televisions in the country. The two candidates had only two confrontations face to face after the first round, on May 7 at the Congress of the National Trade Union Bloc, respectively on May 8 at the Polytechnic University, at a debate organized by Euronews.
On Thursday night, the gold leader was at the French Cnews television station, where he was criticized by French journalists after accusing President Emmanuel Macron with “dictatorial tendencies” and compared France to Iran.
George Simion and Călin Georgescu voted together in the first round of the presidentials, which the gold leader won with over 3.86 million votes. In the second place was Nicușor Dan, with almost 1.98 million votes.
