On May 15, rescuers conducted a repeated search for the missing family Usoltsev in a forest area near the village of Kuturchin in the Partizansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Experts examined four large stone placers (kurumniks) at an altitude of 985 meters, as well as 9 square kilometers of the slope where, it is assumed, the missing could descend.

“Unfortunately, at the moment the missing persons have not been found. The search will continue today,” the Rescue facility said on May 16.

Let us remind you that the Usoltsevs mysteriously disappeared at the end of September 2025. 64-year-old Sergei and 48-year-old Irina, together with their 5-year-old daughter, arrived by car from Zheleznogorsk to Kuturchin to go hiking with other tourists. Due to an unfavorable weather forecast, the group did not gather, but on September 28 at noon the family set out on their own, informing the base employee of their route – to Mount Buratinka and back.

On September 29, it became known that Irina Usoltseva did not show up for work, and the next day her son wrote a statement to the police. Started right away large-scale searches that went on for a long time V difficult weather conditions and to the maximum capabilities of all operational services and volunteers. In mid-October, their active phase was completed, having switched to the mode of targeted tasks: now they are dealt with by professionals and certified rescuers.

During this time, various conspiracy theories were expressed on social networks and the media about the mysterious disappearance of the family, including that they could have fled to another country. But law enforcement officers and volunteer search engines believe the main version of what happened was an accident, associated with a sharp change in weather conditions in the mountains.
