French President Emmanuel Macron posted on Sunday a video with moments during his Saturday visit to Kiev, where he traveled with the leaders of four other major European countries allied with Ukraine and had a meeting with President Volodimir Zelenski.

The video includes pictures from the train to Kiev, during discussions with the other allied leaders, hot hugs with Zelenski, walking on the streets of the city and snapshots with the locals of the Ukrainian capital.

And a unique moment surprised from the backstage of the negotiations is that when Macron took the initiative to call the US President Donald Trump on his mobile phone and to inform with the other leaders about discussions. Trump took the call, even though he was still before 7 in the morning in Washington, and agreed to support European applications, according to officials.

“Hi, Donald, can I call you in 2 minutes with Zelenski? He accepted the proposal in your message. In connection with a 30-day fire cease, etc. it is ready to announce it. I call you in 2 minutes with the others”-Macron tells Trump in a vocal message.

The President of France, together with the leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland, went to Kiev on Saturday for discussions with Volodimir Zelenski, the visit being a demonstration of unity one day after Vladimir Putin received his allies at the Victorian Day in the Red Square in Moscow.

Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz arrived in the capital of Ukraine with the same train on Saturday morning, while Donald Tusk came with a separate train. The leaders met with Zelenski, were in the center of Kiev and then held discussions.

Macron also posted on the Tiktok account, a day ago, a short video with the moment he was received by Zelenski at the Presidential Palace Mariinski in Kiev.
