Andrei Cordea (26 years old, right wing), from CFR Cluj, explained why he was happy after scoring against FCSB, his former team.
Cordea played for FCSB between 2021 and 2023, and from this season he wears the CFR shirt. He scored for 3-1 in FCSB – CFR, 1-4, and rejoiced after the goal. In the end, he said that he did it because he was cursed by the fans of the current champion. He also revealed that he was not offered by Becali before signing with CFR.

“It was important for us to win, I think for them as well. We talked that we will treat the last matches as 8 finals. They had even more matches than us, I thought that in the second half we could make the difference and we broke free. FCSB is a strong team, they always stand up, they always press, but today it didn't work out for them.
I think the 3rd goal was very important, I caught them well, attacked the space and I'm happy. I'm sorry I'm not appreciated. Since I arrived I was cursed at the stadium, that's why I was happy at the goal. On social media since I arrived at CFR.
Did we have any offer from Steaua? We had discussions, but the offers were a long way off. I don't understand why they cursed me. I did my job while I was with them. Now I'm at CFR and I'm giving it my all. Before I signed I was called by everyone, including the boss.
For us it is very important to catch the play-off, even if it seems far. I said that I'm thinking about the play-offs while I have the chance. Everyone has the right to say what they want, I have my mentality, as long as I have a chance I will fight. I don't want to talk anymore”, said Andrei Cordea, at Prima Sport.
