Unemployed with grandfather grandfather. MOPS plans to prevent inheritance of poverty

For two years, the Wrocław MOPS will implement a program that is to limit the problem of the so -called inheritance of poverty in families. The center will focus on families, which have been facing at least two generations, e.g. adult unemployment or employment in low -paid competitions.

In the announcement sent on Friday by the municipality, it was written that MOPS will focus on families who experience the so -called inheritance of poverty and for at least two generations they have faced many difficulties, e.g. adult unemployment, employment in low -paid competitions, low professional aspirations, low level of education, addictions, home violence, bad housing conditions, poor health and disability of family members or educational problems affecting the lack of norms and adverse behaviors kids.

“Wrocław Winning Family is an innovative program, which is implemented where poverty and negative social phenomena occur, which are transferred from generation to generation. The program is modeled on the model of preventing inheritance of poverty cocoon, which is based on the assumption that the problem of inherited poverty results primarily from the environmental impact,” said MOPS spokeswoman Anna Bytońska.

She added that support should be covered not only by whole families, but also the environment in which they function, but the recipients of the activities will be primarily children from families in which poverty inherits, as well as the environment in which they function.

A total of 16 families with children from three Wrocław housing estates will benefit from the project: Ołbin, Grunwaldzki Square, Przedmieście Oławskie. It will last until April 2027.

For families of MOPS, he will organize, among others, away and familiarization workshops, introducing to the project, support of the family assistant, family communication workshop, care and specialist services, environmental nurse support, neighborly self -help or a financial voucher for the implementation of a family project. Parents will be able to use the workshops on communication and the ability to be assertive, home finances, first aid. And children and adolescents will receive, among others Mentor, psychologist's support, talent development courses or career counseling.

The value of the project is PLN 2.9 million, and PLN 2.8 million was obtained for this purpose (PAP)
