Former Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, who is currently in front of the PSD, still hopes for a position of power at the forefront of the state, say political sources for the truth.

Marcel Ciolacu is waiting for the result of the presidential elections to negotiate either with Nicușor Dan, or with George Simion a parliamentary majority and a position for himself.
Marcel Ciolacu lost the position of prime minister, but not all the political power. Depending on the context, Ciolacu can remain in a position at the top of the state. It all depends on the negotiation with the future president of Romania.
Regardless of the result of the elections, Marcel Ciolacu wants to contribute to the formation of a new ruling coalition, then resign from the PSD forehead, sources from the party leadership.
Ciolacu's plan is to take the PSD again to the government, then to negotiate the head of the Chamber of Deputies, an armchair that PSD Ciprian Șerban is currently occupied. “Șerban was installed there to keep the warm place of Marcel Ciolacu. It is clear that Marcel wants the head of the Chamber of Deputies and can even obtain it, because without PSD you cannot be made in the Parliament. However, he needs the support of the party and there are more wishers for that position ”supports one of the social-democratic leaders.
If Nicușor Dan will win the presidential elections, the new president will want a pro-European majority, which will also include PSD. And on behalf of the PSD will negotiate Marcel Ciolacu, a member of the Chamber of Deputies, therefore eligible for the head of the forum. Basically, Ciolacu would become the third man in the state. “Ciolacu's plan is to get the head of the Chamber of Deputies, then withdraw from the PSD forehead. In the party, things are divided: some believe that Marcel Ciolacu deserves to receive the position, others believe that a new PSD president is needed to negotiate a ruling coalition and share the functions”, I say the sources quoted.
If George Simion will become the President of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu retains his strategic negotiation. Even though George Simion wants a sovereign majority, the new government will not be installed without the PSD votes. Therefore, Ciolacu can again negotiate functions for the party, packing with the head of the Chamber of Deputies for himself.
Therefore, Marcel Ciolacu, although he was left without the position of prime minister, through a skillful negotiation could become the third man in the state. However, Marcel Ciolacu's days in the PSD forehead are counted, so his negotiating force gradually decreases.
