The coach of the Romanian national team, Mircea Lucescu, said on Wednesday, at the launch of a sports training center, that he is satisfied with the quality of the matches in the Superligi play-off and that if all the matches were at the same level, the Romanian football would take a step in front, informs Agerpres.

“If the whole championship was the quality of play-off matches, I think we would take a step forward. They are the most important matches and each of the teams can win or lose. It's an extraordinary balance,” said Lucescu.

Regarding the average number of passes without mistake the Romanian players succeed, the technician was unhappy.

“Of course, Romanian football is much slower than in the rest of Europe. I do not want to discuss with how many seconds, I can talk about the number of average passes, which is around three passes, then I lose the ball. It can be seven, it can be one. Perfect, in very difficult conditions, on very restricted spaces, I can control it ”, the coach said.

Mircea Lucescu was also worried about the large number of players of the national team during the recovery period: “Give me solutions to recover some players. That's the whole problem. Let's see what will happen.”

The coach praised the initiative to build modern children's training centers, but specifying that they must be accessible in disadvantaged environments.

“” It is definitely beneficial. We do not know what financial success can be, because not all children can afford. We have spoken with the owners of this club to find solutions, diminishing the costs, going to the outskirts. Because, in general, poor families give their children to football, hoping that they will have a career. With the wall, which was with numbers on the wall, but we train very much. Much, it is hard when you think of the financial part for a parent, how much can you do? But otherwise, the idea is very good. I hope time to improve this way of training children, reducing the costs a little, because you train here costs a lot. And to be introduced in children and junior centers, it is used everywhere, ”said Mircea Lucescu.

Elite Skills Arena inaugurated on Wednesday at the Sema Park in Bucharest, a modern training center, based on technology and intended to prepare athletes of all ages.

The launch event was attended by the coach of the national football team of Romania, Mircea Lucescu, the president of the National Sport Agency, Bogdan Matei, representatives of the Romanian Football Federation, the former international Florin Răducioiu and three players of the FCSB team (champion in Titre): Vlad Chiricheș and Mihai Lixandru.
