The two candidates from the presidential final, George Simion and Nicușor Dan, arrived in Parliament on Wednesday for the congress of the National Trade Union Bloc. The two stand next to each other in the room and are about to take a speech.
It is the first public event to which they are both seen after the Sunday vote, when George Simion won the first tour of the presidential elections, and Nicușor Dan was ranked 2nd.

“I did not know that the election campaign with the thirteenth Congress will be overlapped, but I considered that the organization of this congress is an opportunity. It will be a dialog platform for candidates for the presidency. I invited them to listen to them, and we will present a clear list of topics and challenges-to offer solutions as a future,” Costin, before the event, for Caleaeuropeană.ro.
When he arrived at the event, Nicușor Dan was asked if he was prepared for a debate with George Simion.
“Tomorrow, at Euronews. If Mr. Simion wants to come to Euronews tomorrow, and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, next week, when he wants him,” the independent candidate replied.
Also on Wednesday, George Simion had accused him of refusing to participate in a debate with him.
“They asked for debates. Yesterday, Nicușor Dan did not present. I am available today to go to debate with Nicușor Dan. Maybe tomorrow!
He announced that he had confirmed the participation in Digi24 and asked Nicușor Dan to come to the debate.
“I am available and I announced, and I confirmed the participation in Digi24, where Nicușor Dan was invited this evening. I will go to 21 to see if Nicușor Dan has presented or not. If he has the courage to present himself not on a home television,” said Aur president.
George Simion, the leader and the Golden candidate, won the first round of the presidential elections, on Sunday, May 4, with over 3.86 million votes, representing a score of 40.96%. In the final of May 18, Nicușor Dan, an independent candidate and general mayor of the capital, with almost 1.98 million votes (20.99%).
