Over 500 delegates and guests, representatives of the trade union organizations of the National Trade Union Bloc (BNS), as well as of public institutions and national and international partner organizations, will participate, on Wednesday and Thursday, at the 13th Congress of the Trade Union Confederation, which takes place at the Parliament Palace.

At a key moment for the union movement in Romania, the Congress will be both an exercise in evaluating the activity of the last four years, as well as an opportunity to outline the strategic directions for the period 2025-2029, the source quoted shows.

On the first day of the meeting, the activity balance of the NBS will be presented, and the next day the debate on the “Social Romania – Positioning in relation to the European Pillar of Social Rights” will take place. At the same time, the participants in the Congress will adopt the BNS strategy for the next four years.

In an international context marked by rapid transformations, major technological evolutions and social challenges, the role of social partners becomes essential in ensuring a balanced transition and in defending the rights of workers, the NBS Congress is shown.
