The Polish Ministry of Culture assures good relations with Ukraine regarding the exhumation. However, unofficial sources from RMF FM indicate difficult talks on this issue. The Institute of National Remembrance sends applications to the Ukrainian side. And silence falls
The application for consent to exhumations in 26 places, including Huta Pieniacka, was sent by the Institute of National Remembrance and is valid only for one year. If Ukraine does not make a decision within this time, the application will become invalid, which will force the Institute of National Remembrance to submit further applications and extend the procedure. The Polish Ministry of Culture has been boasting about its consent to work in Ugly for a long time.
Exploration work in Ugly will be carried out exclusively by a Ukrainian company. There will be no cooperation with the Polish side there. Difficult talks mainly concern the issue of exhumation of the victims of the Volhynian crime. The Ukrainian side is delaying decisions, which affects relations between Poland and Ukraine on this matter.
