The spokesman of the PSD, Lucian Romaşcanu, said on Wednesday that the “history of the actions” of the Social Democrats “leaves no room for interpretations” regarding the pro-European orientation of the party and that the vote of Romanians in the presidential can no longer be influenced by the messages of the political formations, in an attempt to explain to the PSD. for the supreme function in the state.

“There are, these days, a great public debate on the decision of the Social Democratic Party to leave its voters to choose in the 2nd round. The supporters of the political parties can be convinced but they can no longer be” handled “in any direction. At least I learned from the recent lessons,” Romaşcan wrote in Facebook.

He points out that “if someone believes that there is a minimum possibility of the parties to influence the vote of the Romanians was not attentive to the Sunday results.”

“Do not explicitly transmit a voting direction, at least for now, does not mean that the actions of the leaders and the PSD are not pro -European and pro -European,” added the president of the County Council (CJ) Buzau, who is also the leader of the county branch of the PSD.

According to him, “the history of the PSD actions leaves no room for interpretations, since the integration in NATO and the EU (the Snagov Pact was a fundamental action, initiated by the PSD since then) and until the support in the Romanian electoral alliance, of the fundamental pro-Western candidacy of Crin Antonescu”.

“I do not talk about GDP, highways, salaries, Schengen and many more, these were done, they were in the job description. I am convinced that the messages that will come and from now on the PSD will show that there is no place for interpretation. I want a massive vote for reform and construction as I want to vote on the 18th,”

He also states that any debate on how important or not the Mathematics Olympiad is useless at this time.

“Here we are, from here we go further to Europe. In Bucharest, Paris, London Madrid we are Romanians in Europe, not to forget this even when it is difficult for us. It was better in Moscow, Vladivostok or Rostov on Don? I am convinced that no respect for Russian culture,” added Romașcanu.

“I want to not forget that, regardless of the option, we are all Romanians, even when we think differently,” he concluded.

Lucian Romașcanu announced on Monday evening, in a message published on his Facebook page, that he resigns from all the political and administrative functions he has and that he “withdraws from political life”, in the context in which he will soon take “a dignity that implies maximum integrity and political independence”.

Since July, he will become a member of the Court of European Accounts.
