AFD recognized as an extremist organization. And in the polls they record great increases

A decline in support for conservatives
The study conducted by the Institute of Institute on behalf of “Bild” appears six weeks after the federal election, in which the Christian-Democratic (CDU) and its Bavarian sister party, the Christian-Social Union (CSU) appeared. The latest survey showed that the center -right CDU/CSU alliance obtained 24 percent. support, while AFD also reached 24 percent.
Support for German conservatives fell by two percentage points from the last survey, conducted just after the election on February 23. At the same time, AFD gained one percentage point, strengthening its position on the political scene. The Centrolevilic Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), which lost over a third of support in the election, obtained 16 percent in the latest Instage Institute, maintaining its current position. Ecological Greens and the Socialist Party of the Left won 11 percent support, placing ex aequo.
AFD reaction and challenge for other parties
Responding to the best in the history of the party, AFD co -chairman Alice Weidel said: “AFD cannot be missed anymore.” Weidel wrote on platform X that citizens do not want another leftist government in which CDU/CSU allows SPD and green to impose their policy, adding that it's time for “a real bourgeois political phrase”.
German main parties have ruled out cooperation with AFD, but the latest survey raises questions about the possibility of maintaining the so -called sanitary cordon towards the extreme right if the party begins to run in election polls.
The study covered 1206 voters from March 31 to April 4.
