On Tuesday, April 29, there is a second electoral debate for the presidential elections of 2025, organized by the Romanian Television. After the first debate hosted by Digi24, in which four candidates participated, TVR brings all the 11 enrolled in front.
The event “A President for Romania” will start at 7:30 pm, in the Unirii Hall at Cotroceni Palace, and will be broadcast live on TVR1, TVR Info, TVR International, TVR Moldova, TVR+ platform and the youtube channel of public television. The debate will also be taken over by several commercial stations, such as Pro TV, Antena 3 CNN, Euronews, First News, Realitatea TV and Romania TV.
Moderate by Ramona Avramescu and Marian Voicu, the debate will take over three hours and will approach key themes such as the priorities of the presidential mandate, the foreign policy, the security strategy and the role of mediator in a polarized society, according to TVR. In a special section, moderated by Adelin Petrișor, the candidates will respond to crisis scenarios.
For the first time, public television provides interpretation in mimic-gestural language throughout the entire event.
Also, both TVR journalists and representatives of other media organizations, including HotNews, will ask direct questions to the candidates.
