The head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov during the live broadcast on the Yenisei television channel spoke about the reform of local self -government.

The governor said that the process will not be simultaneously and will take time. According to him, the key task of the reform is to “improve the quality of municipal management” and form strong managers' teams. This “should lead to an improvement in the quality of life of people.”

“We have 12 territories in recent years have switched to a new form. Social support measures will not change – benefits for utility bills, surcharges for work in rural areas are maintained. There will be no reductions, if there are releases, then only in the authorities. In each case, to understand individually, ”assured Mikhail Kotyukov.

The head of the region also noted that the “identity and history” of settlements will not be lost due to reform.

“Shrovetide in Sukhobusimo as it was and will be carried out,” Kotyukov said.

We will remind, earlier it became known that in the region the law on the reform of local self -government was adopted in the first reading. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, it is planned to leave 39 municipalities, including six city and 33 municipal districts. Now there are 472 municipalities in the region. Some of the districts are formed within the boundaries of existing areas and district centers unchanged, and some are waiting for enlargement – two or even three existing areas will include in them.
